The White Tailed Deer
The White Tailed Deer is found all over the United States and is found mostly in wooded forest areas (or places with proper covering). As they are a hunted species, they have adapted to have a white tail (as they are named) to signal others in their group of danger.
The Distribution of White Tailed Deer
Places you might find the White Tailed Deer
As shown above, you can see that the white tailed deer is found in many environments. The first image (depicting an abandoned building) can be used by deer as a shelter (although it is not very common as there are not many abandoned buildings). Then second image shows a garden, in many areas, deer eat the plants in gardens which angers many people, since you cannot put a wire fence around a large garden, many people swear that by tying a bag filled with hair (from the local barber) it wards away deer. The third image shows a farm, many farmers are angered by deer, as they sometimes eat the products of the field. The fourth image (bottom left) shows a deer grazing by some country houses, deer are very common there, and are often seen while driving by. The fifth image shows a stream, deer are often near streams because they rely on them for their water source. Then final image shows deer in a camp ground where they scavenge for food (the leftovers from the campsites) and live in the surrounding woods.
